Grant Angell (Col. Ret.), 24 years in the US Army and Reserve units, 13 years in training management, he was an instructor at Clackamas Community College in Oregon from 1996 thru 2005. Was on the Board of Directors as Senior Vice-President of the NAAA (National Alarm Association of America) for over 20 years. Holds degrees a BS in Applied Sciences in Military Science, and MS in Strategic Studies.  He was a Special Police Officer for City of Portland for 8 years, Woodland Washington 1970-1, and Tillamook County Sheriff in 1981-82. He founded Law Enforcement Training Group LLC in 2009.  He has over 25 years experience in adult continuing education, both teaching and developing courses.

Dr. Besant-Matthews is well known in forensic science circles. He helped to establish the International Association of Forensic Nurses. His experience includes training and working at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, during part of the Vietnam War.  He established the Seattle-King County Medical Examiner's Office in the 1970s. He has taught numerous classes for law enforcement agencies, universities, and emergency medical personnel.  He is particularly interested in mechanical injuries (such as, blunt, sharp, firearms, electrical, and vehicle crashes, etc.) as well as injury documentation and applied photography.

John Demand has almost 40 years of experience in law enforcement and corporate security. He began his career as a police officer in the Chicagoland area where he was promoted to detective and then director of training.  He has served as Director of Security and Safety for two Fortune 500 corporations and as Vice President of Research and Development for a major security firm.  John has invented and brought to market several safety related products. He is a graduate of Northwestern University in Police Administration and Northeastern Illinois University in Behavioral Sciences. 

John currently serves as president and founder of Observation On Demand, LLC (O2D)

which is a research and training company that he founded after returning from a counter terrorism training mission in Israel in 2006.  Its purpose is to develop and provide performance-centric training and skill development programs for law enforcement, the military and security professionals to increase observation and critical thinking skills.

With degrees in both Evidence Technology and Microbiology Rob has over twenty years experience as a clinical / research microbiologist within the fields of toxicology (drug screening), hematology, serology, molecular diagnostics and as a Naval Environmental / Preventative Medical scientific consultant.  In the early 90’s, Rob’s pioneering interest in fluorescein resulted in a innovative technique for latent bloodstain discovery currently in use worldwide for crime scene reconstruction.  He is an instructor, forensic consultant and occasional expert witness.   His classes have included local, federal and international law enforcement agencies personnel on various forensic techniques and have been pursuant with new technologies and techniques, which have improved forensic applications.

Bob’s background includes conducting investigations with the Harris County Texas Grand Jury and working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives in addition to many internal theft and fraud investigations. He has conducted investigations for the Harris County Texas Grand Jury and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in addition to many internal theft and fraud investigations.  His specialtys include photographing fire, burglary, accident and structural failure scenes over a six state region, along with working in both wet and digital darkrooms.
